The pears were made from an awesome pattern by folk artist
Melanee Herrera. They're made from premium muslin that
has been painted, shaded, sanded and aged. They have
wool felt leaves and grapevine stems. The pears are
just about the size of large genuine pears -- roughly 3 3/4"
tall by 3" in diameter. This listing is for the five
pears shown in the photo. Sorry, but the colander is
not included, it's for display only. That's my
favorite old pasta colander. :-) 1 set of 5 pears

I love to
quilt and recently stumbled upon a technique called paper or
foundation piecing with which I wasn't previously familiar.
The pattern is copied onto paper and the fabric pieces are
actually sewn to the paper along the guidelines. The
pieced top is folded and trimmed and then the paper is
removed and the result is a perfectly pieced design. I
turned these three squares into little pillows. Two
are
sewn up from cotton calico prints on a background of
tea-stained muslin and the third tree is from a vintage
velveteen. The pillows are backed with the
same fabric as the borders on the fronts. For a bit
more of a prim look I added Tin-tiques rusty stars and
moons. They have a bit of a northwoodsy feel about
them. The pillows measure about 6" square and these
three will come as a set.

Use the stars as they are or add to a bowl of fixins or pine
cones. They're made from homespun fabrics, aged and
stained with a mix of coffee and vanilla and rubbed with
cinnamon. They're wrapped with rusty wire and each has
a rusty bell sewn to the indented centers. The stars
each measure about 7" across. 1 set available

Just like the pine tree pillows above, this little pillow
too was paper-pieced. It's about 6" square and backed
with the same fabric as the borders on the front. The
heart shape was pieced from cotton calico fabrics and
tea-stained muslin. It comes with the little skeleton
key and the aged hang tag that is stamped to read "Key to My
Heart." 1 available
