Mini pillow for country and primitive decorating measures about 6 inches square and is made from a variety of cotton calico fabrics in reds and burgundy.
If you're not familiar with paper-piecing, it's an easy and interesting way to create small quilts and pieced items using a printed piece of paper as the pattern. The paper pattern is actually sewn right into the project and then torn away as the project goes along. What you're left with is a perfectly pieced design, ready for quilting or in this case, ready to be backed and stuffed into a mini pillow.
This one is done up with 3 coordinating calico fabrics along with a background of tea-stained muslin. It's a nice little item, small enough to fit into a basket or bowl but large enough to be noticed. :) Handmade by us here at Little Coon Creek. Please keep in mind that colors in photographs can vary when viewed on different systems. (Reds are particularly difficult to capture accurately.)
