Ratty-looking bear was sewn from plush felt. He measures about 15 inches tall. The bear has solid black eyes, a wool felt nose that was stitched on and he wears a sailor style paper hat made from vintage sheet music. The hat was aged with Distress Ink.

There's a aged American flag tied to his arm by a jute twine bow. His lace collar is also aged and stained. Plush fur does not pick up walnut ink or coffee stain well so I distressed his body by shaving off the fur in a few places and then spraying him with watered down black acrylic paint.

The bear's paper hat can be removed -- there are a couple of small strips of Velco glued inside that grab onto the bear's fur to keep the hat in place but the hat can be totally taken off and replaced with another hat such as a Santa cap for the holiday season.

The bear's arms are jointed and can be moved around but his legs are stitched so that he's permanently in a seated position. His backside is weighted with plastic pellets.
